Daniel V. Burke, J.D., holds a B.A. degree from the University of Illinois, and received his legal education at Golden Gate University, San Francisco. He has authored numerous articles on divorce and is a frequent lecturer on divorce issues.

Daniel V. Burke is a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, a Certified Legal Specialist in Family Law (California State Bar Board of Legal Specialization) and past Chairperson of the North County Family Law Specialists.

Since 1986, Mr. Burke has served the Superior Court of California as Judge Pro Tempore in assisting parties arrive at settlements in divorce proceedings. For the past twenty years, he has handled thousands of divorce cases, representing men, women and even children. This experience emphasizes Mr. Burke’s belief that appropriate parties ought truly participate in designing the resolution of their dispute rather than leaving it to a judge and adversarial attorneys.
